Discovery Days

With over 250 species to see, a narrow-gauge railway, an exciting playground and over 160 acres of beautiful parkland we offer the perfect learning environment.

We invite home educated families to join us for one of our discovery days here at the Park. The discovery day is ideal for children in Reception to Year 6, but we can also cater for older home educated children. Discovery days are available to book one day per month during term time (excluding January and July). Please see the booking calendar for specific dates each month.

Educational Talks

The discovery day ticket includes admission to one of our educational talks at no extra cost. Each month we will offer a different talk topic – please see the information below. Talks take place outside in the Park with one of the keepers and last around 30 minutes. You must arrive at the Park by 11 am in order to attend the talk – There are no refunds given if you miss your talk.

Admission

If you have season tickets you can use these to gain entry to the Park free for your discovery day. There will be an additional charge per person for the educational talk. If you have a season ticket and would like to book the Discovery Day, please contact the education department directly on education@cotswoldwildlifepark.co.uk

These prices are available for home educators for Discovery Days only and must be pre-booked through the education department. If you wish to visit as a home educator at other times you will need to pay gate prices or pre-book e-tickets.

Book Your Visit

To book your home educator Discovery Day please follow the link below. Payment must be made at the time of booking. The Discovery Day must be pre-booked a minimum of 5 working days in advance. We would recommend booking early to ensure that your preferred date and topic choice is available. Your booking is not confirmed until you have received a booking confirmation from us. The information you provide for your booking will be secure and confidential. For more details of how we store and use data, please see our Privacy Policy. Bookings are non-refundable. However, we can reschedule your booking to an alternative date.
