Plant of the Month : May 2016

Tulip Orange Queen shines in the box border in front of the Manor House. This belongs to a group of tulips known as Darwin Hybrids. As an added bonus we find that this group of tulips come back year after year.

Flamboyant Parrot tulips are planted near the Reptile House, so called because of the deeply cut petals. Look out for Black Parrot (dark maroon), Silver Parrot (white/soft pink) and Estella Rijnveld (red and white). Look out for the showy red and yellow Tulip Bastia, with fringed petals by the Bat House (see photo).
