Jordie's Special Day

Its not every day that you get chance to make someone's dream come true, but when you do that feeling stays with you forever.

Fourteen year old Jordie Taylor is a very special person, a bit of an adventurer Jordie will try her hand at most things including canoeing and parachuting, nothing stops her from achieving what she wants even though she is extremely ill.

When her family approached us to arrange a day out at the Park we jumped at the opportunity to introduce her to some of our residents. Jordie is passionate about all animals and was delighted when Keepers Nathan and Roger introduced her to some of their charges; Buddy the penguin was a firm favourite, but even the more scary residents were enjoyed; Jordie handled snakes and lizards with extreme interest and confidence.

I have never seen two grown men melt in the presence of someone before, but Nathan and Roger did just that, so Jordie thank you for giving Nathan and Roger such an amazing day, we hope you enjoyed yourself as much as they did!
