Pre-visit/Teachers Information

Preliminary Visit

As a teacher, with a group already booked for a day at the Park, you are welcome to a free visit before the school’s trip. You will need to give us at least five working days notice to arrange a visit, as we need to send you a complimentary ticket.

If you wish to visit us before you make a booking, you will need to arrange to see our Education Co-ordinator when you get to the Park. His hours are 09.00 to 14.00 on weekdays in term time.

Risk Assessment

We cannot offer a full risk assessment for your groups visit but we do provide you with a list of those things we think you should take into account when writing your own. We will enclose a copy of this list with your booking confirmations and it is available on this website.

Winter Deals

We would like to encourage you to visit us in the autumn and spring, when the Park is relatively quiet, rather than in the busy months of May, June and July. To this end, we will provide a free talk or a tour for any group of, up to, thirty pupils you bring on any school term day between 1st September and 31st March. However, we will charge our normal admission fees for the group.
Should you chose to come in the summer term (i.e. 1st April to 31st August), we will charge £20.00 for each talk or tour, in addition to our normal entry fee.

Worksheets

If your visit is between 1st September and 31st March, our education co-ordinator is willing to help you create your own worksheets but will need at least four weeks notice prior to your visit.

General Supervision

Please ensure that groups of children, of all ages, remain under the supervision of a teacher or accompanying adult at all times and that they are not sent around the Park on their own.

Cotswold Wildlife Park carries Public Liability Insurance in excess of £10 million.
