Pre-visit/Teachers Information

Preliminary Visit

As a teacher, with a group already booked for a day at the Park, you are welcome to visit us for free, before the school’s trip. This gives you the perfect chance to see our facilities at first-hand and, if you wish, talk to our Education Co-ordinator about your requirements. Please phone us before you come so that we can inform our pay desk.

Risk Assessment

We are unable to provide a comprehensive risk assessment. However, we do provide a list of those things we think you should take into account when completing a risk assessment for your trip.

Park Maps

On your arrival at the Park, we will provide you with a small number of black and white copies of the Park’s map. If you arrange talks or tours of the Park, we will also provide maps showing the meeting point for these. Should you wish to have additional maps, you may purchase a guide book or click here to download a copy of the Park’s map in .pdf format, which you will be able to print for yourself.

General Supervision

Please ensure that groups of children, of all ages, remain under the supervision of a teacher or accompanying adult at all times and that they are not sent around the Park on their own.

Cotswold Wildlife Park carries Public Liability Insurance in excess of £10 million.
